Talk Feature Comes To iHeartRadio For iOS Along With iOS 7-Style UI Redesign
September 10, 2013
Last July, iHeartRadio launched Talk, a feature that's touted as the first mass-market audio platform that offers on-demand listener-created talk content alongside popular news, celebrity, and entertainment “audiosodes.” Initially, Talk was available in beta on the Web. But now, it has finally made the jump to mobile.
Thanks to its latest update, iHeartRadio for iOS now provides a directory for Talk, enabling you to browse and choose from the popular Internet radio platform's audiosode selection. What's more, this selection includes segments from "The View" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," made available to coincide with ABC's new season.
The new Talk directory is accessible via the new side navigation menu, which also includes a Presets section for saved Live, Custom, and Talk Station favorites. To add a station to your Presets, simply tap the plus button for that station.
The new side navigation menu, by the way, is part of iHeartRadio's "I heart iOS 7" user interface redesign. That is to say, iHeartRadio has also been redesigned to look more at home in the upcoming new version of Apple's mobile operating system.
The new version of iHeartRadio is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later.
