Boxer Update Brings Two Great New Features For iOS 7 Users

Easily my favorite email app, Boxer, has just been updated to bring a number of goodies for iOS 7 users and other improvements.
First up, version 3.14.0 adds two features only for users of Apple's most recent version of iOS. Users will now receive email notifications for non-Gmail accounts. Also, email is now fetched even when the app isn’t being used. Those are some great additions, and definitely make the great app even more useful.
All users of the app can now respond to calendar invitations directly from their inbox. The update also features email fetch performance improvements and other bug fixes.
Boxer is designed for the iPhone/iPod touch, but is compatible with the iPad. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for $5.99. While there are a number of other apps designed to replace Apple’s own mail solution, Boxer’s ability to sync with Exchange accounts makes it a winner.
Before today’s update, the most recent major changes to the app came in early September. Version 3.12.0 added full landscape support and revamped some of the easy-to-use swipe actions.
Originally released late last year as Taskbox, the app was rechristened Boxer in early June.
