Boxes Introduces Pinterest-Like Feature For Adding Items Directly From The Web
October 22, 2013
Boxes, the gorgeously designed app for organizing, tracking, and selling stuff, has just been updated with a neat new feature.
As announced by the Boxes team in the release notes of the latest update to the app:
You can now add items directly from the web! Just enter the URL to a website and Voila! You're easily able to grab photos of your items from whatever site you choose. Now, when you tap the plus button to add an item to Boxes, you have the option to add "From the web" in addition to the options to "Snap photos" and to add "From camera roll." Like Pinterest for Boxes, the new "From the web" option lets you grab photos from a website for a new Boxes item. Of course, for every item, you can choose up to five photos, crop or resize them, and add filters to them before entering the details for your item. Also including some user experience tweaks, the new version of Boxes is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later. The newly updated app also includes a number of fixes. These include fixes for an issue that causes the app to crash when taking photos, a bug that causes the icon to be incorrectly shown on iPad, and a problem that causes the news feed to get stuck while scrolling. Since its launch four months ago, Boxes has received four noteworthy updates, including this latest one.
