Mysterious Ghost Story App Haunting Melissa Goes 2.0 In Time For Halloween
October 25, 2013
In time for Halloween, Haunting Melissa has just received its first menacingly major update.
Released last May, Haunting Melissa is a freemium iOS app from Neal Edelstein, the producer of such terrifying films as "Mulholland Drive" and "The Ring." Divided into chapters, the app tells a ghost story centered on the title character, who, for mysterious reasons, has gone missing.
With its latest update, Haunting Melissa has been elevated to version 2.0. Haunting Melissa 2.0 includes iOS 7 optimizations and other improvements both significant and small.
First off, the update adds interactive motion effects to the app. It also enhances the screen capture process by introducing an embedded tool that lets you step forward and backward one frame at a time in order to grab the image you want to share. In relation to this, the update also adds support for direct Instagram sharing.
Furthermore, Haunting Melissa 2.0 lets you enlist your friends to unlock chapters for free. You can also join the two ongoing promotions in the app for the same purpose. First, you can unlock Chapter 2 for free by sharing to Facebook or Twitter anytime before you reach Chapter 2. And second, you can unlock Chapter 3 for free once it becomes available by watching all of Chapter 2.
You can keep abreast of the status of ongoing and new promotions with the new promotions page in the app's settings section.
Haunting Melissa 2.0 also includes the following improvements:
