The Nike+ Move App Will Launch On Nov. 6

Nike has been busy lately. Along with introducing the FuelBand SE fitness tracker, the company is also expanding its app arsenal. First up, the company announced that the Nike+ Move app will be available to download in the App Store on Wednesday, Nov. 6. Designed to work with the M7 motion coprocessor found in the iPhone 5s, the app will track activity and also tie in with Game Center. It was first unveiled at the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c media event in September. The M7 processor is designed to take low-power collection of motion data, preserving the battery life of the handset. A number of fitness apps are already making use of the chip. Nike has also updated its popular Nike+ Running app. Version 4.4 brings two new features. First, users can take a photo before, during, or after their run and share it through a number of social networks, including Facebook, Instagram, Path, and Twitter. Also, the app’s new auto-pause feature can sense when you’re not moving and pause the app. It will start recording again when it detects movement. Nike+ Running is designed for the iPhone and can be downloaded now from the App Store for free. The fitness company recently unveiled its second-generation of wearable fitness tracker. The Nike+ FuelBand SE connects to an iPhone using Bluetooth 4.0 technology. The majority of upgrades to the device focus on more accurate and efficient activity tracking.
