Spotify For iOS Updated With Songkick Touring Details, New Search Features And More
November 5, 2013
Spotify for iOS has just received another major update, which comes just a couple of weeks after the app's iOS 7-optimizing update.
The latest update to the official iOS app of the popular music streaming service (and major iTunes Radio competitor) features the addition of touring details, including concert dates and locations, in artist views.
Displayed to make it easy for you to learn about your favorite artists' upcoming live events, touring details are sourced from Songkick, with which Spotify has recently struck a partnership.
The latest update to the Spotify app also sees the rollout of new search features, enabling you to get instant results and to search playlists and user profiles.
In addition, the update adds localization support for Indonesian, Japanese, and Russian.
Also including some bug fixes, the new version of Spotify is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later.
