Zynga's Running With Friends Gains Single-Player Mode, Rebrands As Stampede Run

November 30, 2013
Zynga's Running with Friends has just been updated with a much-requested game mode. As its name suggests, Running with Friends is an endless runner with a social gaming twist. Specifically, it offers the behind-the-back gameplay popularized by Temple Run with turn-based competition among friends on Facebook or across Zynga's social gaming network. But with its latest update, Running with Friends has gained a new single-player mode, with support for offline mode. So, you can now jump, duck, and dodge charging bulls at the famous Running of the Balls festival in Pamplona, Spain, on your own instead of with friends:
Single player mode is here! Charge through the streets of Spain – dodge bulls on your own or challenge your friends, you choose! Complete achievements to earn new boosts and power your way up the leaderboards. The bulls are ready to run anywhere you go, with offline play now available.
In light of its newly added single-player mode, Running with Friends has been renamed Stampede Run. Optimized for iOS devices running iOS 6.0 or later, Stampede Run for iPhone and Stampede Run HD for iPad are available in the App Store for $0.99 each. Free versions of the games are also available with in-app purchases. Stampede Run, formerly Running with Friends, was hailed as AppAdvice's Game of the Week shortly after its release last May.
