New Batman: Arkham Origins iPad Graphic Novel Lets You Choose Your Own Adventure

December 20, 2013
DC Entertainment, in partnership with digital comics studio Madefire, has just released a new iPad comic book app called Batman: Arkham Origins - A DC Comics MultiVerse Graphic Novel. The new graphic novel app is the first of its kind, in that it's the first DC Comics MultiVerse title to feature a multi-path reading experience. Think "Choose Your Own Adventure," but set in the DC multiverse and conveyed on the advanced storytelling platform of iOS. The app tells the prequel story to the bestselling Batman: Arkham Origins game, which was released for consoles and mobile devices last October. But it's a story whose twists and turns are up to you, the reader:
Each [chapter of the graphic novel] contains multiple story branches that you can follow in whatever order you choose. Some choices will successfully lead you to Batman’s next mission and carry you through to the following week’s episode. Other choices could have deadly consequences. Ultimately, you’ll complete an exciting prequel story that leads up to the start of the Batman: Arkham Origins video game.
If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Compatible with iPad running iOS 6.0 or later, Batman: Arkham Origins - A DC Comics MultiVerse Graphic Novel is available now in the App Store for free. The free app offers a free preview of the first of the graphic novel's eight chapters. If you'd like to read the rest of the chapter, you can purchase it for $0.99. Then, you can pay as you go for each chapter thereafter, which costs $1.99. Alternatively, you can buy all chapters at once via a $14.99 series pass. The series pass also unlocks the Injustice Batman and 52 Metallic skins for use in the Batman: Arkham Origins game. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
