Oggl, Hipstamatic's Anti-Instagram App, Goes 2.0 With New Home Screen And More
December 18, 2013
Hipstamatic Oggl has just been significantly updated to version 2.0.
Now simply called Oggl, Hipstamatic's answer to Facebook's Instagram has been enhanced with new features for creating amazing images, collecting images you love, and discovering photos for inspiration.
First off, Oggl 2.0 features a streamlined capture experience with easier access to your favorite presets and filter combinations.
Perhaps most notably, though, Oggl 2.0 features a brand new home screen containing a grid of the content you follow. Note that the app now launches to the new home screen, but you can set it to launch to the camera screen as before in the iOS Settings app.
The new home screen includes your favorite collections. Collections, by the way, are groups of great photos that you can now create and subscribe to in Oggl 2.0.
Oggl 2.0 also features a new Discovery tab, to help you get inspired by beautiful photos, and a new Search function, to help you find photos and collections.
The latest update to Oggl also brings improved profiles with tap-to-zoom, expanded bios, and links to Web and other networks. Moreover, it adds the ability to share photos, profiles, or collections via email, text, Twitter, or Facebook.
Also including bug fixes and other improvements, Oggl 2.0 is available now in the App Store for free. It's optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later.
