Yelp For iOS Updated With Fandango Integration For In-App Movie Ticket Purchasing
December 14, 2013
The popular local guide app Yelp has just received an update for the holidays, including a nice, little winter UI tweak. Most notably, though, the new update adds Fandango integration to help you get your cinematic fix this holiday season and beyond.
In the new version of Yelp, you can now see the current movie listings and showtimes at your local theaters. What's more, you can purchase movie tickets directly from within the app.
"Thanks to our friends at Fandango, you can purchase your ticket right from the page," the Yelp team notes. "So stop stalling and go see the new Hobbit movie, we know you want to."
A fun and wonderful film, "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" is indeed something you don't want to miss. So, open Yelp now to get your tickets for the movie at your favorite local cinema.
The latest update to Yelp also adds business photos from Yelp users next to reviews to give you a better idea of how a place or menu item really looks.
The new version of Yelp is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later.
Yelp was previously updated last month with SeatMe integration for booking restaurant reservations.
Yelp is listed as an "essential app" in AppAdvice's Local Advice Apps AppGuide.
