Cydia Tweak: Get Detailed Information On Your Messages App Usage With SMS Stats 2

January 27, 2014

Are you a big SMS or iMessages sender? Who do you message the most? Do you send more SMS messages, or more iMessages? Find out the answers to all of these questions and more with SMS Stats 2, a recently released jailbreak tweak that’s optimized for iOS 7 and ARM64-iDevices.

It might not be the most exciting of statistics, but for some, finding out Messages app stats will definitely prove interesting. SMS Stats 2, an updated iteration of the original SMS Stats jailbreak tweak, allows users to easily access a bunch of statistics concerning their Messages app usage under Apple’s iOS 7 mobile operating system.

Once you’ve downloaded and installed the jailbreak tweak, you’ll notice that SMS Stats 2 adds a new “S” icon to your Messages application. Touching this opens the jailbreak tweak’s statistics interface, and depending on where you touch the “S” icon you can access either general information on your messaging practice, or more detailed statistics for individual contacts.

Information displayed involves the number of SMS messages sent and received, and the number of iMessages sent and received. You can also view lifetime data or data from the last 28 days, and as mentioned, all of this information is available generally or for individual iOS contacts. No new preferences pane is added to the Settings app; instead, SMS Stats 2 is available to access from the Messages application alone.

SMS Stats 2 can be downloaded free of charge, and it provides iDevice users with some interesting information concerning their Messages app habits. As mentioned, it’s optimized for both iOS 7 and ARM64-iDevices.
