Evasi0n7 Gains Security Patches And Follow-Up Fix For Retina iPad mini Reboot Loop

January 13, 2014
The evasi0n untethered iOS 7 jailbreak, otherwise known as evasi0n7, has received yet another update. This new update, which brings evasi0n7 to version 1.0.4, comes just a day after the release of evasi0n7 1.0.3. As noted by iDownloadBlog:
This is the second evasi0n7 update in two days. Yesterday’s release was also supposed to provide a fix for the boot loop issue that some Retina iPad mini users were affected by, yet many still encountered the problem. As the evad3rs note, evasi0n7 1.0.4 will hopefully fix this problem once and for all.
Yesterday, evasi0n7 1.0.3 was pushed by the evad3rs hacker team to introduce a new Cydia bundle and add support for iOS 7.1 beta 3, which was found to break evasi0n7 soon after its developer release a few days ago. Evasi0n7 1.0.3 was also programmed to double-check HFS modifications to resolve the reboot loop issue on the cellular iPad mini with Retina display. Apparently, though, it was not enough for some users, for whom evasi0n7 1.0.4 has been released with what seems to be a better fix. The new version of evasi0n7 also includes a couple of security fixes for sysent table restoration by kernel payload and bootstrap Cydia tar files verification. You can download evasion7 1.0.4 from the evasi0n website. You can also find our jailbreak tutorial here and a list of compatible tweaks here.
