Gaze Into Palantir, The Wikia-Powered Middle-earth: Shadow Of Mordor Companion App

Wikia, in partnership with Warner Bros., has just unveiled the official companion app for the upcoming Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor action RPG set in the "Lord of the Rings" universe. The app is called Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Palantir.
Named after the magical seeing stone from J. R. R. Tolkien's fantasy legendarium, Palantir offers a collection of relevant information put together by the Wikia community.
In Reader mode, Palantir functions like a typical console game companion app in that it lets you read its knowledge base centered on the game and the universe it's set in.

But in its rather innovative Sync mode, the app presents exclusive content and information in real time as you're watching Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor videos or playing Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor itself:
Palantir uses advanced audio-sync technology to listen to videos about the game like game trailers and even your game play to provide highly-accurate, real-time information directly from the fans on Wikia. The app will grab related article page content from the official Shadow of Mordor community as you’re watching or playing.Compatible with iPad and iPad mini running iOS 6.1 or later, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Palantir is available now in the App Store for free. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is still under development by Monolith Productions. It's scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One later this year.
