Good News: Clean And Simple RSS Reader App Updated With New UI And New Features

January 5, 2014
The clean and simple RSS reader app Good News has just been updated for the new year with a new UI and a handful of new features. Released in June last year, Good News is an app that works as a local or standalone feed reader, but it also supports importing of subscriptions from several popular feed aggregation services. In addition, it supports viewing of updates from well-known social networking sites. Previously, Good News supported feed import from Feedly, Feedbin, and NewsBlur. But now, thanks to its latest update, it supports feed import from FeedWrangler as well. And previously, Good News integrated with the following social networking services only (which, to its credit, already amount to a lot): Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Flickr, 500px, Linkedin, Vimeo, Instagram, Soundcloud, Readability, Pocket, Delicious, Kippt, Github, Plurk, Youtube, and Dribbble. But now, it also supports Dailymotion and Foursquare, too. And as mentioned, Good News has also been updated with a new UI, which improves on the app's established cleanliness and simplicity of design. As always, Good News offers a bevy of other features, including iCloud syncing, offline operation, and text-to-speech support for 27 languages. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later, the new version of Good News is available now in the App Store. Normally priced at $0.99, Good News is free to download for a limited time only. For more notable RSS reader apps, check out AppAdvice's RSS Readers and RSS Readers For The iPad AppGuides.
