Location-Bookmarking App Rego Updated With Much-Requested Collection Sharing

The highly rated location-bookmarking app Rego has just received a new major update.
While it doesn't include a new design for iOS 7, the update does add support for what is said to be the most-requested feature among Rego users: collection sharing.
With the new version of Rego, you can now share and export entire collections of places, including each place's notes and key photo.
To share a collection, just tap the folder icon for that collection in the collections screen. You can choose from three export formats: the native Rego format and the returning KML (for Google Maps) and GPX formats.
"The new Rego format allows sharing of entire places with others, as Rego-formatted collections can be directly imported into another copy of the Rego application," the Rego team notes. "Exported Rego collections can be sent via email, or in iOS 7 directly to another device using Apple’s new AirDrop facilities."
The latest update to Rego also lets you delete all associated places and photos when deleting a collection.
Moreover, it delivers bug fixes, including a fix for a bug that causes saved photos to have the .png extension rather than the correct .jpg extension.
The new version of Rego is available now in the App Store. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.1 or later.
Previously, Rego was free to download. But the free app was limited to 10 places and one photo filter only, with a $4.99 in-app purchase offered for unlimited places and access to all photo filters.
Now, though, the app costs $4.99 to download, with all features already unlocked.
