Location-Bookmarking App Rego Gains Satellite View, Navigon Support And More
May 6, 2013
Rego, the internationally available location-bookmarking app that amusingly "cracked up" the Brazilian App Store, has checked in to another significant update.
Arriving nearly a month after the app's previous and first update, the latest Rego update brings new features as well as welcome improvements.
The update adds the ability to rearrange photos and notes accompanying bookmarks. Just tap, hold, and drag them to rearrange them in any you want. If you know how to reorder app icons (which, of course, you do), then you already know how to reorder photos and notes in Rego.
Also included in the update is support for toggling between normal and satellite views in maps. So is support for viewing and copying the address and geographical coordinates for places.
Moreover, the update introduces Navigon integration. This allows you to open your bookmarked places for navigation in Navigon, in addition to Apple Maps, Google Maps, TomTom, and Waze.
The update also makes searching for places, notes, and captions faster and delivers various bug fixes.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.1 or later, the new version of Rego is available now in the App Store.
Rego is free to download, but it’s initially limited to 10 places and one photo filter only. Support for adding an unlimited number of places and accessing all of the app's photo filters may be unlocked via a $2.99 in-app purchase.
