Paradock: Multi-View Dual Dock For iPhone, iPad Launches On Kickstarter
One new iOS-related Kickstarter project is Paradock, a dual dock for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Besides allowing users to charge and sync a couple of iDevices simultaneously, the new Paradock also makes it possible for owners to display their smartphone or tablet at a number of different viewing angles.
The project launched on Kickstarter earlier today, and its creator, Joe Adams, is looking for a total of $27,000. You can get hold of a dual dock Paradock for a pledge of $60 (as of this writing), however as per Kickstarter’s code of conduct, higher pledges offer higher rewards.
Paradock itself is made out of steel, aluminium, and “rare earth magnets,” and features a soft rubber coating to protect attached iDevices from scuffs and scratches. You can house an iPhone and an iPad in Paradock, and the stand can support the attached iPhone in either landscape or portrait.
Besides iOS-powered smartphones or tablets, Paradock supports devices which use a micro-USB connector. The dock is also designed to amplify sound emitted from a docked smartphone, and if funded, Adams hopes to have Paradocks in backers’ hands by May or June 2014.
As mentioned, for a dual dock Paradock capable of supporting both an iPhone and iPad, backers will need to pledge a minimum of $60.
The project will only be funded if it reaches its goal of $27,000, and as of this writing it’s amassed just under $1,000 with 22 days to go.
