Happy New Year! Thanks to the holiday season and the craziness of CES 2014 that will start next week in Las Vegas, accessory makers have kept new releases to a minimum lately. But here are four new companions for your iOS devices that have recently hit the market.
Boa Nerve from Booq
A very nice looking messenger bag option, the Boa Nerve from Booq is highlighted by a magnetic strap system that easily allows users to switch quickly from a loose to tight fit. Able to hold up to a 15-inch laptop, the bag’s water-repellent ballistic nylon exterior offers durability and protection. And to help you keep better organized in the new year, the Nerve’s flap compartment offers a built-in organizer, several pen slots, and a removable key fob.
The Boa Nerve retails for $155, and it can be ordered directly from Booq’s site now.
SmartFold for the iPad Air from ID America
A reasonably priced folio case for the new iPad Air, the SmartFold from ID America features extra back padding for drop protection. The cover can convert into a two-position stand for typing or media viewing. Built-in magnets also activate the automatic on and off feature of the tablet.
Available in four different color options – black, blue, red, and white – the case can be purchased for $39.95 directly through the company’s site.
Earbuds from Happy Plugs
Swedish brand Happy Plugs is making its way to the United States offering a number of fashionable accessories, including a set of earbuds. As a nice touch, the earbuds feature a built-in microphone for handsfree calling. The gold and silver color options will set you back $29.99, while 13 other hues are available for $24.99 each.
If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary, you can even order the pictured earbuds in 18-carat solid gold. Made by a Swedish goldsmith in Old Town Stockholm, 25 grams of gold is used in each set. But be prepared to shell out some hard-earned cash as that option costs a staggering $14,500.
Stripped for the iPhone 5s/5 from M-Edge
This unique slim case for the iPhone 5s/5 features eco-resin panels inlaid with reclaimed and natural elements. Weighing in at just 1.2 ounces, the case offers access to all ports and buttons.
Buyers can select from a number of interesting options. Along with the pictured gold flakes case, the Stripped is also available with maidenhair, silver sequins, seaweed, and a tan leaf. Each option is $34.99, and can be purchased now from M-Edge’s site.
