Tumblr Updates Official iOS App To Enable You To Mention Blogs When Writing A Post

January 29, 2014
Tumblr has just issued an update to its official iOS app. As it happens, the latest update to Tumblr for iOS introduces a new feature that's worth mentioning, if you know what I mean. Well, if you don't know what I mean, allow me to explain. A couple of weeks ago, Tumblr added support for mentioning blogs when writing a post on its compose screen on the Web. Now, that same functionality has been added to the compose screen of Tumblr for iOS:
User Mentions! Just type @ and a username when you’re writing a post. We’ll create a link to their blog and let that person know that you mentioned them. They will be thrilled by this.
The new version of Tumblr is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later. Tumblr was updated and redesigned for iOS 7 a couple of months ago. At the same time, it was updated with faster performance and tag autocomplete.
