Documents 5 By Readdle Features New iOS 7 Design, Inter-App Add-Ons And More

Just a few hours ago, we reported that Readdle would be updating its popular Documents app to version 5.0 with a number of significant improvements. Well, Documents 5 by Readdle is here, and it's everything the developer said it would be and more. As announced by Readdle prior to its release, Documents 5 introduces a new design inspired by the flat and simple visual style of iOS 7. It also adds support, initially on iPad, for so-called add-ons, which unlock the app's integrations with several other Readdle apps. These add-ons let you edit and annotate PDFs with PDF Expert 5, convert files to PDFs with PDF Converter, print documents with Printer Pro, and scan documents with Scanner Pro, provided these other apps are already installed on your device. Documents 5 also comes with a revamped file manager, drag-and-drop support for moving items anywhere, quick access to favorite documents and folders, color tags, background download support, and Windows Shares (SMB) support. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 6.0 or later, Documents 5 by Readdle is available now in the App Store for free.
