Google's Waze Gains Calendar Integration For Quickly Navigating To Event Locations

February 27, 2014
Last week, Waze announced that it would be introducing calendar integration to its popular namesake social navigation app. Now, the feature has made its way to the app on iOS. Indeed, Waze for iOS has just been updated with calendar integration, enabling you to quickly and easily navigate to specific events from your calendar with just one tap. Any event with location information will automatically appear in Waze's navigation list, with two events featured at a time. But if you don't want to have this new feature, you can easily disable the "Allow access to calendar" option in the app's advanced settings menu. Also including bug fixes, the new calendar-integrated version of Waze is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later. Launched on iOS back in August 2009, Waze was acquired by Google for $1.3 billion in June 2013.
