Mi Clos Studio Submits Out There To The App Store, Confirms It's A Universal App

February 15, 2014

Mi Clos Studio, the French indie developer, has submitted Out There – its anticipated sci-fi iOS game – to the App Store, according to a recent report. Plus, even though we’d expected Out There to be an iPad-only release, we’re now hearing that the upcoming application is going to be compatible with the iPhone and iPod touch, too.

The news reached us from TouchArcade, which explains that Out There should arrive in the App Store in the coming weeks. “Mi Clos has reached out to let us know that the game is finally submitted to Apple so the release shouldn’t be too far off,” the publication notes, adding:

They’ve also informed us that while Out There was initially announced as an iPad-only game, that they’ve managed to make it work just fine on the smaller iPhone screen and will be launching the game as a Universal title.

Great news, right? We’re not sure yet how much Out There is going to cost, but the fact that iOS device users can pay one single fee for a universal version of the game is great to hear.

The app, from what we understand, is a choose-your-own-adventure-style game set in outer space, and features “an incredible art style and atmospheric soundtrack,” TouchArcade explains. Below, we’ve included a handful of screenshots showing Out There running on an iPhone handset, along with a trailer for the game which first surfaced online some time ago.
