Rdio Update Brings Playlist Editing And More

February 11, 2014
Popular streaming music service Rdio has just updated its iOS app with two new features. Starting with version 2.5.7, music lovers can take advantage of playlist editing. Users can remove and rearrange tracks, add and edit playlist artwork, change visibility and collaboration settings, and more. The update also allows users to write album and playlist reviews directly from the app. Fans can also read reviews by professional critics and other Rdio users. Smaller tweaks have also been made to the app design and user interface. A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, Rdio can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. A monthly subscription to the service costs $9.99. If you’re looking to listen to music without a monthly subscription fee, Rdio recently opened up all 20 million songs on its service free to users of the Web client. Obviously, listeners will have to put up with advertisements. With the iOS app, users can listen to a number of Pandora-like radio stations without having to subscribe to the service.
