Report: Apple's 'iWatch' To Feature Flexible AMOLED Display
February 19, 2014
The latest rumor about Apple’s so-called “iWatch” suggests the new device will feature a flexible AMOLED display, and 3-D protective glass. The China Times report also says that mass production for the wearable device will begin during the second half of 2014.
According to the report, the “iWatch” will use silver nanowire touch screen technology developed by Taiwan-based TPK and Japan-based Nissha Printing.
There is no way to confirm the latest China Times report. However, it should be noted that the publication was one of the first to say that Apple would be introducing a so-called “iPhone Math” before the end of 2013. That didn’t happen, of course. In other words, this latest rumor might not stand up very well.
