Stand Up And Take Notice Of Twelve South’s New Compass 2 For The iPad Air, iPad mini

February 13, 2014
Twelve South is back with a redesigned version of its multipurpose and portable iPad stand. The new Compass 2 is compatible with the iPad, iPad Air, and iPad mini. Here’s a quick video that shows the stand in action. Click here if you can’t see it. Weighing in at a little more than 8 ounces, the stand can hold any iPad in either portrait or landscape orientation. The third leg of the stand swings out to form a tall and wide angle for extra stability. And if you’re in the mood to do some typing, the Compass 2 also offers a foldaway secondary leg that creates a comfortable angle for working pretty much anywhere. Along with being able to charge an iPad in either position, the parts of the Compass 2 touching an iPad are covered with silicone to help protect the tablet. Soft pads also help prevent an iPad from slipping or shifting when placed on the stand. The Compass 2 comes in one of three different colors – black, red, or silver. It can be purchased now from Twelve’s South site for $39.99. It’s also available at Apple’s online store.
