The Bureau - XCOM Declassified For Mac Updated With New DLC Packs

February 26, 2014
The Bureau - XCOM Declassified has just received its first ever update on Mac. The first update to The Bureau - XCOM Declassified, which was released in the Mac App Store last November, introduces three new downloadable content (DLC) packs. There's the new Code Breakers DLC:
A top secret government communications facility responsible for intercepting and decoding the enemy’s transmissions has gone radio-silent. In a desperate attempt to turn the tides of the secret war, Special Agent Carter and his squad must investigate the incident, eliminate any threats, and make contact with personnel in order to bring the facility back online and make sense of the mysterious code.
And there's also the new Light Plasma Pistol DLC:
Early Bureau research into outsider weapons technology has yielded promising results in the form of a prototype light plasma pistol. Not as bulky as its Outsider predecessor, this compact weapon fires condensed bolts of plasma and boasts a vastly improved rate-of-fire, giving players an early edge in the secret war for humanity’s survival.
Finally, there's the new Hangar 6 R&D DLC:
In the days leading up to the events of The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, Agent Nico DaSilva volunteers for a series of dangerous secret experiments to identify and treat a terrifying new pathogen. Maximize your combat skills and push your team to its limits to protect a friend from his own hallucinated terrors.

Each DLC may be unlocked via in-app purchase in the new version of The Bureau - XCOM Declassified, which is available now in the Mac App Store. Normally priced at $34.99, the game is currently on sale for $19.99. The Bureau - XCOM Declassified has you playing as a special agent of the eponymous government unit to overcome an otherworldly enemy in Cold War America. Note that it's a third-person tactical shooter, as opposed to a turn-based tactical role-playing game like XCOM: Enemy Unknown. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
