Welcome back to our weekly look at some of the must-have accessories that have recently hit the market. In this edition, we’re featuring an interesting home speaker, a beautiful iPhone wallet, and more.
APEX360 iPad mini Case from BelkinA rugged case designed for both versions of the iPad mini, the APEX360 features a removable quick stand that does double duty as a protective cover. Grooves in the case’s inner lining allow users to position their tablet in a number of angles in both portrait and landscape position. Inner ridges along the frame help protect the smaller tablet from any impact as the case has passed a U.S. military drop test from a height of 6 feet. Buyers can select a black or fuchsia version of the case. It retails for $69.99 and can be purchased from Belkin now.
Studio5 from Nude AudioAfter introducing a line of compact speakers in 2013, Nude Audio is back with the Studio5. With both a Lightning connector and Bluetooth technology, the home speaker is a full 2.1 stereo system with a 3-inch subwoofer, bass port, and bass control. Thanks to the dual-pairing Bluetooth technology, two devices can be paired to the speaker at one time and music can be switched between devices by pushing the pause and play buttons. With AptX technology, when paired to a compatible device like a Mac, the company touts the audio quality as nearly indistinguishable compared to a wired source. The speaker retails for $179.95 and can be purchased from now from Grand St. and Amazon.com.
Cartera Wallet for the iPhone 5s/5 from SenaSena is well-known for producing spectacular iOS device cases from high-quality leather. And the company has recently introduced a wallet-style case for the iPhone 5s/5 - the Cartera. Made with burnished leather, the booklet fold wallet opens and closes like a conventional wallet without any snaps or magnets. The left side of the Cantera houses a plush slip compartment for the handset while the right side offers card slots and a money sleeve. Buyers can select from a light tan or dark brown version of the wallet. It can be purchased now from Sena for $59.95.
