Twitterrific Gains Search Streaming, Navigation Tab Customization And More

Twitterrific, the popular Twitter app developed by The Iconfactory, has just received another notable update. Last month, the app received an update that, most significantly, added support for streaming timelines over Wi-Fi. Now, its follow-up update adds support for Wi-Fi-enabled streaming for searches and conversation views. Also, it improves the streaming label so that it no longer overlaps the timeline. Streaming over Wi-Fi has long been a feature of Tweetbot, Twitterrific's nominal top rival, barring the official iOS app of Twitter. And now, another feature that's long been present in Tweetbot has arrived in Twitterrific as well: navigation tab customization. Now, you can tap and hold on Twitterrific's navigation tabs apart from the home timeline to choose which timelines to display: mentions, messages, favorites, any of your lists, or any of your saved searches. The latest update to Twitterrific also introduces a redesigned "new tweet" counter, which is persistent, requires a smaller footprint, and shows up in all timelines. The new version of Twitterrific also includes the following improvements and fixes:

The new version of Twitterrific is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $2.99 download. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later.
