Last December, we told you that Eutechnyx would be coming out in the first quarter of 2014 with a new game based on Games Worskhop's popular Warhammer fantasy war-game franchise. Now, the developer has confirmed to Eurogamer that the game, called Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance, is scheduled to launch on March 27, roughly making it to the set release time frame. According to Eurogamer, Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance is a Plants vs. Zombies-like lane defense strategy game set in the Warhammer universe. Indeed, as much is suggested by the game's newly released trailer, which you can check out below: If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance includes two factions, the Space Marines and the Orks, with a third faction, the Imperial Guard, available via a $0.99 in-app purhcase on launch day and even more factions to be added over time. For every faction, there are 50 missions to be accomplished in a campaign mode based on the Warhammer 40,000 novel "The Purging of Kadillus" by Gav Thorpe. As mentioned, Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance is set be released on March 27. It's going to be available in the App Store for $4.99, with no in-app purchases other than those for the additional factions. In addition to Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance, the card battle game Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolves is scheduled for release in the first quarter of the year. If you want to play a Warhammer game on your iOS device right now, check out the dungeon-crawling strategy game Warhammer Quest.
