AgileBits' 1Password For Mac Gains Improvements To Mini Feature, AutoSave And Editing
March 13, 2014
AgileBits has just released the latest version of the Mac edition of its popular password management app, 1Password.
As reported by MacStories, version 4.2 of 1Password for Mac features improvements to 1Password mini, AutoSave, and item editing.
Introduced in version 4.0 last October, 1Password mini makes it easier to find existing passwords or create new ones. It's described by AgileBits as "a full-featured menubar utility with full vault search, item details, vault switching, window anchor options, and more."
And in version 4.2, 1Password mini is going to be maximized, so to speak, with some notable enhancements. MacStories notes:
In 1Password 4.2, 1Password mini is getting a few extra capabilities, such as editing support, possibility to view secure notes, and fuzzy search. While the main 1Password app remains the place where all features are available, 1Password mini becoming more versatile is good news for those who like the ease of access of the menu bar app.If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. The new version of 1Password for Mac also brings an improved AutoSave window for saving new logins in the primary vault and improved editing, adding support for switching between vaults while editing and resuming item editing after closing 1Password. Version 4.2 of 1Password for Mac is available now from AgileBits' website. Following Apple's approval, it will available in the Mac App Store as a free update or as a new $49.99 download. Version 4.1 of 1Password for Mac was released last December. It featured a new login prompt, custom password fields, improved AutoSave, and enhanced search, among other improvements. AgileBits also offers 1Password for iOS in the App Store for $17.99.
