Apple TV Software Update Makes It Much Easier To Hide Unwanted Channels

Apple is making it even easier to customize the Apple TV. The device's software has just been updated to version 6.1, allowing users to hide channels quickly and easily from the main screen.
To hide, or rearrange an icon, select an item and then hold the Select button on the remote control. Wait until the icon jiggles, much like with iOS. Users can then choose to move the icon around or hide it altogether.
And as pictured, heading to Settings, Main Menu will also allow users to select which channels they'd like to hide or see.
To download the software update on your Apple TV, navigate to Settings, General, and then Update Software.
Apple has been quickly adding a number of new channels to the service. Most recently, a channel for this week’s iTunes Festival was added back to the main menu.
The new software update for the Apple TV came on the heels of Apple finally releasing iOS 7.1 to the public. That update contained a number of significant bug fixes and new features, most notably support for CarPlay.
