Most significantly, the latest update to A World of Ice and Fire features a special gift for fans: an exclusive, never-before-read excerpt from "The Winds of Winter," the next book in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" cycle by George R. R. Martin. The excerpt is free to all users of the app, whether longtime ones who have just updated to the new version or new ones who have just downloaded the app for the first time.
