NimbleBit Updates Disco Zoo With 'Cool' New Animals, New Toddler Mode And More

Disco Zoo, the zoo simulation puzzle game from Tiny Tower and Nimble Quest developer NimbleBit, has just been issued its first ever update.
The update introduces "cool" new animals from the Ice Age. As noted by Pocket Gamer, the new additions include three common animals, two rare ones, and a mythological creature.
The update also brings funkier habitats for diamond-class animals, new options for the zoo's sound system, and various minor improvements and fixes.
Released just over three weeks ago, Disco Zoo was favorably reviewed here on AppAdvice by my colleague Christine, who wrote:
I am really liking the fact that this is a sim, but with the added puzzle element that isn’t really found in the other NimbleBit games. Since the others were always just about micromanaging, I eventually got tired of them. Christine also noted that the game is fair with its implementation of its in-app purchases for its premium currency, DiscoBux. Nevertheless, the update introduces a new Toddler Mode that disables DiscoBux purchases and access to the in-game store, especially for young 'uns who like playing Disco Zoo. This new toddler-proof mode also disables ads. Not so young zookeepers can enable this mode in the game's advanced options. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, Disco Zoo is available in the App Store for free.
