Popular Color-Connecting Game Dots Now Lets You Challenge Other Players
March 26, 2014
Dots, the popular color-connecting game developed by Betaworks, has just been updated to version 2.0.
Dots 2.0 notably introduces a new Challenges mode that — you guessed it — lets you challenge other players.
The new Challenges mode lets you go head to head against your friends via Facebook or random players from around the world via automatic matching. Dots challenges are played either in Timed (60 seconds) mode or Moves (30 moves) mode.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, Dots 2.0 is available now in the App Store for free.
Released for iPhone and iPod touch late last April, Dots was favorably reviewed here on AppAdvice. "This is a simple pick-up-and-play game that will definitely kill some time," our original review noted. "It’s incredibly simple, but difficult to master, and will have you thinking, 'I can do better, just one more game' over and over again. Once you get going on it, Dots will be hard to put down."
I reckon its new Challenges mode will make Dots even harder to put down.
Dots was optimized for iPad and updated with multiplayer support in May.
