Recents Lets You See The Most Recent Updates From Your Social Feeds In One Place
March 20, 2014
Ultralab Apps, the studio behind a number of iOS apps including Gifstory and Instagrids, has just released its latest product in the App Store. The new app is called Recents, and it's so named because it shows only the most recent updates from each of its supported social feeds.
Recents initially supports four major social networks: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr (whose signature colors are featured in the app's icon). Eschewing the article recommendation setup that's common among many news apps nowadays, Recents offers a single place for the latest posts and updates from your feeds on those networks.
The app features an interface that supports viewing of different types of content. So, whether it's an article from Facebook or Twitter, or a photo or video from Instagram or Tumblr, content is optimized for reading or viewing in Recents.
Recents also supports the familiar double-tap gesture for liking items. What's more, when you like something in Recents, your "like" is automatically transferred to the corresponding social network.
According to Ultralab Apps, Recents will be updated with the following features depending on how successful it becomes in terms of download figures:
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later, Recents is available now in the App Store for $0.99. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
