Scratch's Quick Note Exporting Feature Gets Redesigned From Scratch

March 13, 2014

Scratch, the quick-input note-taking app developed by Karbon that rivals Agile Tortoise's Drafts, has just received a notable update.

As it happens, with this update, Karbon has practically redesigned a core feature of Scratch from scratch. That core feature is its support for exporting notes to other apps and services.

Specifically, the newly updated Scratch features a brand new custom export sheet, replacing the plain action sheet that had until now been featured in the app. Scratch's new custom export sheet pops in and out on demand with beautiful animations. More importantly, it comes with the following features:

  • “Inactive” exports won’t show by default but can be revealed by pulling up on the export sheet. (You can also hide exports you never want to see.)
  • Delete a note directly from the export sheet by tapping the trash icon.
  • Jump to settings from the export sheet to quickly customize your export options.
  • Exports now show their icons for quicker visual recognition.

The new version of Scratch is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $2.99 download. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 7.0 or later.

Scratch was updated and redesigned for iOS 7 on the same day as the operating system's launch in September 2013.
