As first reported last week, Starbucks has just updated its popular iOS app to add digital tipping and a number of other new features.
The most obvious change in version 3.0 is the new iOS 7 design. There is even a revamped app icon.
With the update, users also can tip their barista up to two hours after the transaction. Coffee lovers will receive a push notification after each eligible purchase.
In the new dashboard, you can see your rewards level, available rewards, inbox messages, and most recent transactions.
And to make things even quicker at the register, simply shake your iPhone to show a barcode to pay with.
Finally, users can view their entire account history, including purchases made, stars earned, and rewards redeemed in a single feed. It’s even possible to now share Reward Milestones through social media channels like Facebook and Twitter.
Designed for the iPhone/iPod touch, the Starbucks app can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
