Apple has been busy today. Along with releasing iOS 7.1 and version 6.1 of the Apple TV software, an updated version of the Remote app has just arrived.
The major improvement in version 4.2 is the ability to control iTunes Radio on your Apple TV. Users can also browse purchased movies and TV shows in the app and play them on an Apple TV as well, which could come in quite handy.
Version 4.1 of the app arrived back in late 2013, and brought the ability to control iTunes Radio on either a Mac or PC.
Arriving in November, version 4.0 was completely redesigned to better fit in with iOS 7. It also added support for iTunes 11.1.
A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, Remote can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. Users will need to have iOS 7.0 or later installed on their device to use the app.
