June 5, 2014
"It moved with me." "That's pretty damn intuitive." That's how a couple of users describe the mystery device that Amazon, led by founder Jeff Bezos, is set to unveil at its special launch event on June 18 in Seattle. Amazon teases the unveiling with a decidedly cryptic video showing people reacting to an unseen device. Most of these people are shown moving their heads around while using the device, suggesting that it's none other than Amazon's rumored 3-D smartphone. Take a look: If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. The likely 2014 launch of Amazon's 3-D smartphone was first reported by The Wall Street Journal last April. Then, last month, BGR leaked images of the handset's design. Amazon's phone is said to measure 4.7-inch diagonally and feature 720p HD resolution. It's also said to have a total of six cameras, four of which are designed to facilitate the device's glasses-free 3-D effects.
