Asphalt 8: Airborne Update Brings New Cars And More

June 18, 2014
Popular racing game Asphalt 8: Airborne has just received a nice update with the move to version 1.4. Most importantly, the game has done away with the despised rental fee for events. Taking its place is the new Fuel system that allows racers to enter time-limited events. Gamers can win some fun new cars, including the Chrysler ME 412, Ferrari FF, Ford 2006 GT, Ford Mustang 2015, Mercedes CLK-GTR, and Mercedes SLS AMG. Finally, the extra tank booster gives new drivers an equal footing when competing against long-time racers. Here’s a trailer video about the update. Click here if you can’t see it. A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, Asphalt 8 can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. There are a number of in-app purchases available. Before today’s update, the last major changes to the game arrived back in March. Version 1.3 offered integration with the Twitch in-game broadcasting service and an Asian-inspired location with six new tracks.
