Gameloft Revs Up Asphalt 8: Airborne With Twitch Integration Plus More
March 21, 2014
Gameloft has just released a hefty update to Asphalt 8: Airborne.
As expected, this update introduces the new broadcasting feature powered by Twitch, which launched its mobile software development kit earlier this month. In fact, Asphalt 8: Airborne is the first ever mobile game to feature Twitch integration.
According to Twitch:
Beyond broadcasting gameplay to the player’s Twitch channel, Asphalt 8: Airborne’s Twitch integration unlocks the door to a host of interactive functions. These include the ability to stream your voice and image using your iOS device’s microphone and front-facing camera, and to monitor chat from people viewing your stream. Players can also archive their streams and share them over social media or discover streams from other Asphalt 8 players from within the app.If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. In addition to Twitch integration, the latest update to the popular gravity-defying racing game introduces the Great Wall, a beautiful, new Asian-inspired location featuring six new tracks. It also comes with the promise of new cars, including the 2014 McLaren P1, the Ferrari Testarossa, the Dodge Challenger, and the 2014 Ford F-150. Finally, it delivers a new soundtrack to jam with as you race. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, Asphalt 8: Airborne is available in the App Store for free. The game was last updated last January with new cars, daily bonuses, and win streak perks.
