Civilization Revolution 2 is set to storm into the App Store this Wednesday, July 2. And publisher 2K has given a sneak peak of the game to a number of sites, including Kotaku.
The sequel to the popular turn-based strategy game will be a universal app for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It will cost $14.99.
Here’s a quick video featuring the game from the site. Click here if you can’t see it.
The new game, which tasks players to lead a civilization from the dawn of man to the modern age, will introduce some interesting twists like the Red Cross and information technology.
Unfortunately, there won’t be a multiplayer element, so gamers will need to be satisfied with battling computer opponents.
Along with the original 16 historical leaders from the first game, like Gandhi and Abraham Lincoln, the sequel will introduce Winston Churchill and John F. Kennedy.
If you want to check out the original game, there are separate versions of the game for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad on the App Store. Civilization Revolution for the smaller screen is $2.99 while the same title for the iPad is $6.99.
A free, lite version of the game is also available for the iPhone/iPod touch.
