Have You Heard Of OverHeard, A New App That Lets You Easily Share Sounds?
You've heard of Heard, right? Now, allow me to introduce you to OverHeard.
Basically, OverHeard is similar to Heard in that either is a time-shifting audio recording app. But the newer app is different mainly on account of its social networking features.
You see, with OverHeard, not only can you record sounds of the current moment or of the immediate past, you can also share them with your friends, family, and other users.
When you hear something you want to share — a hilarious joke, an amazing musical performance, or even just a baby's laughter — just hit the record button in OverHeard. If you're so inclined, you can also set OverHeard to buffer up to three minutes of sound, so that you can go back a few moments and share what you might have missed otherwise.
If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here.Once you have your sound bite, you can add a sound effect, attach a photo, apply a filter, add a location, and tag your friends before sharing it on the OverHeard network or via Facebook and Twitter.
OverHeard also lets you reply to your friends' sounds with your own and save sounds to your iOS device.
The free app lets you choose between 15 seconds and 30 seconds for the recording length. But it offers the following in-app purchases so that you can “buy time” or extend the duration of each recording session: $0.99 for 60 seconds and $1.99 for three minutes.
OverHeard is developed by ARO, the same studio behind the “essential life-logging app” Saga.
