Jupiter Jump, An Out-Of-This-World Arcade Game, Is Launching This Thursday

June 10, 2014
The folks at Noodlecake Games are bringing a brand new app called Jupiter Jump to the App Store. Promising gamers an endless arcade game similar to Tiny Wings, the sci-fi-inspired title is expected to make lift-off this coming Thursday. Though little is known about the upcoming application, TouchArcade notes that the aim of the arcade game is to secure as high a point score as possible. This can be done by bouncing through tokens which appear in mid-air; like Tiny Wings (rather than Flappy Bird) a tap on the screen sees your character -- a space explorer -- hurtle towards the ground. Yet if you're willing to take a risk, Jupiter Jump will reward you. Because dangerous mines appear en route and while deadly, bouncing close to these constitutes a "near miss" in the game, and serves as a point score multiplier. As such, you'll need to have nerves of steel in order to score high in Jupiter Jump. Mobile ads will appear in the app, however you'll be able to remove these with a $0.99 in-app purchase (IAP) if you wish. Though if you don't mind playing alongside banner ads, Jupiter Jump will be available entirely free of charge on the App Store when it launches this Thursday. We'll be publishing a hands-on review of Jupiter Jump once it's available to download and install, so be sure to check back with us.
