OITNA Is A New Companion App For Fans Of Netflix's 'Orange Is The New Black'

June 9, 2014
This weekend, I caught up with the inmates in season two of Netflix’s “Orange Is The New Black.” I'm fairly certain I wasn't the only one binging. On Monday, Netflix unveiled the new standalone OITNA (Orange is the New App) iPhone app. The app allows you to customize cards with your own messages and photos. The cards feature photos of the cast. After the cards are customized, you can send them to others via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, SMS, and more. The cards are tagged with #OITNB and the season two start date. “Orange in The New Black” debuted last July on the streaming video service. It follows Piper Chapman, who is sentenced to 15 months in a women’s federal prison for transporting a suitcase full of drug money. On Friday, Netflix released the 13-episode second season, which focuses less on Chapman’s character, and more on the other inmates at Litchfield federal prison. The series has already been renewed for a third season, which will make its debut in 2015. http://youtu.be/e99SkdcB2UU "Orange Is The New Black" fans can download the free OITNA app on the App Store.
