Square Enix Debuts Trailer For Upcoming North American Launch Of Final Fantasy Agito

June 11, 2014
Square Enix has just announced that it's set to release Final Fantasy Agito in North America "soon." First announced by the game developer in September last year, Final Fantasy Agito was launched in Japan just last month. And now, it appears that gamers in North America who have been looking forward to playing a localized edition of the game won't have to wait long. Final Fantasy Agito is a mobile role-playing game that's set in Orience, the same world as the PSP game Final Fantasy Type-0. In the game, you take on the role of a cadet and strive to become Agito, a prophesied savior of Orience. As noted by Square Enix, Final Fantasy Agito lets you:
  • Create a unique character with a variety of character customization options, including gender, facial features, hairstyles and more.
  • Interact with other cadets at Akademeia, including major characters from FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0. The decisions you make here will affect the course of history in the game, which in turn will affect the worldwide player community.
  • Head out on missions to raise your level, and find and craft your ultimate weapon. Confront powerful enemies in large-scale, cooperative battles involving the entire FINAL FANTASY AGITO player population.
In lieu of a definite launch date, the rather exciting gameplay trailer below has been released by Square Enix for North American fans: If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 7.0 or later, Final Fantasy Agito is set to be launched "soon" in the App Store in North America as a free-to-play title.
