An interesting new Kickstarter project is hoping to document how apps have changed the computing landscape, and world.
“App: The Human Story” is from director Jake Schumacher and Jedidiah Hurt. The duo have been working on the story for more than a year and are turning to crowdfunding to help push the film over the hump.
Here’s a quick video about the project. Click here if you can’t see it.
Some of the more well-known cast members include John Gruber, Marco Arment, Jason Snell, and Lisa Bettany.
There a number of backer levels available to support the project. For $12 or more, you’ll receive a photo book on the making of the film, while $25 or more will net you a digital download of the final product in HD.
Rewards are estimated to ship in December 2015. The 30-day funding project launched today, and as of right now, a little more than $6,600 has been pledged on a goal of $100,000.
The project sounds amazing. Count me in as a backer. I'll be excited to see the final product.
