Google’s powerful third-party Web browser Chrome has just been updated to version 36.0.1985.49.
Along with the usual stability improvements and bug fixes, Google has added one new feature. Mobile Web sites that have added Cast support will now work with a Cast-enabled device.
The app’s icon has also been slightly modified.
A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, Chrome can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
Before today’s update, the most recent major change to Chrome arrived back in late May. That update allowed users to see their search term in the omnibox instead of the long search query URL.
For all mobile browsers, Google has also recently unveiled a very handy search feature. While searching, Google will let you know if a site uses technology not supported on your device. The biggest example of this is sites that still use Adobe Flash technology.
