Apple CEO Tim Cook isn’t the only one auctioning off his time for a good cause.
If you have some extra cash lying around, you can bid to have lunch with Eddy Cue, senior vice president of Internet software and services, at Apple headquarters. With a little less than two days before the Charitybuzz-hosted event closes, you’ll need to bid at least $10,000.
And along with providing lunch for two guests, Cue will even give the winner a 13-inch MacBook Air.
The proceeds of the auction will benefit the National Association of Basketball Coaches Foundation. The NABCF is the founder of a national literacy program targeting middle-school aged youth.
Cue, who is a Duke graduate, is a well-known hoops fan.
Cook has also used the Charitybuzz platform to auction off similar meetings. Back in May, an unnamed person bid $330,001 for a one-hour lunch with Cook and the opportunity to be a VIP guest at an Apple event.
Another deep-pocketed individual paid $610,000 for a coffee meeting with Cook back in 2013.
