Numerous personal dashboard app updated with Nest support and other improvements
The popular numbers-tracking app Numerous has just received an update that brings notable, if not numerous, features.
Released 82 days ago, i.e., on the first day of last May, Numerous is an app that functions as a personal dashboard for any and all numbers, figures, and stats that you want to keep track of.
“At a glance, you'll be up to date on your latest stock prices, weather, steps taken, miles driven, calories consumed, time until an important event, or distance from home—any number that’s important to you,” the app's App Store description notes. “Track days until your birthday, the price of a Bitcoin, and the surf conditions at your favorite beach. Share your daughter's savings account balance, progress toward your charity's fundraising goal, and your Twitter follower count. Count your steps, graph your elevation, and record your gas mileage.”
And now, following its latest update, Numerous also lets you keep track of numbers related to Nest Labs' products, the Nest Learning Thermostat and the Nest Protect smoke and carbon monoxide detector. If you have either or both devices, you can set up Numerous to display your Nest thermostat temperature, smoke alarm status or carbon monoxide status.
The new update also lets you search for numbers and people, with whom you can connect by commenting and liking their numbers. Moreover, it adds support for more locations for displaying temperatures and distances, along with the usual performance and stability fixes.
As we reported last week, Numerous is set to be updated to leverage the Today section in the revamped Notification Center in iOS 8, which is scheduled to be released this fall.
